Fitting painting into my life

This picture was painted at my in-laws’ house. They have a beautiful garden full of lots of flowers and vegetables and this over-flowing pot of petunias was calling out to be painted. I didn’t have much time, but that turned out to be a good thing as I didn’t fuss over it too much and just got on and painted. This is how I want to paint – fitting it into my life whenever I have a free moment.

  1. I love this little painting and your post here Sally. I agree that there is something magical about fitting a few moments of creativity into a tiny window. It is great just to step into the moment and make something quickly and freely. Some of my favourite little drawings have been done in a café waiting for my order to arrive.
Here’s to fearless creativity whenever and wherever we can squeeze it in!
    With love,
